LB 753 makes military protective orders admissible for specified purposes in protection-order hearings.

A military protective order may be admitted in a Nebraska protection-order hearing as evidence of a respondent’s past conduct and the need for an order. When arresting an armed-forces member, a peace officer must determine whether a military protective order is registered in the specified federal database. If the officer has probable cause to believe the person violated that order, the officer must notify the issuing authority. The statute does not itself declare every military order automatically enforceable as a Nebraska civil protection order.
